ALL CHEERLEADERS DIE and SCHISM lead HFF 'FRIGHT NIGHTS' first wave announcement


This is a significant day for an International Film Festival that starts with great expectations, the Horrorant Film Festival ‘FRIGHT NIGHTS’.

We announce the ‘first wave’ of programming for the festival, which runs March 13-19 in Athens, and 27 March-2 April in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Our program includes 5 European Premieres, 6 Greek productions (features and shorts), award-winning films, all brand new productions from the horror genre.

Our Opening film is ‘ALL CHEERLEADERS DIE’, the new horror comedy from Lucky McKee and Chris Sivertson, the film that opened the International Film Festival of Toronto!
A rebel girl signs up a group of cheerleaders to help her take down the captain of their high school football team, but a supernatural turn of events thrusts the girls into a different battle.
Lucky McKee is the director of the award-winning film The Woman and widely known for his masterful May.

We are also delighted to announce five more films (and 3 more premieres):



Closing film: SCHISM (European Premiere), by Adam Gierasch.
From the director of Night of the Demons, Autopsy and Fertile Ground, a powerful and rough thriller, screened only at Screamfest LA and make its European premiere in Greece!
With Vinnie Jones (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels), Callum Blue (Colombiana) and Ashlynn Yennie (Human Centipede I and II).


 


PINUP DOLLS ON ICE (European Premiere), by Geoff Klein and Melissa Mira.

The Pinup Dolls are a hot retro act who put the tease back in striptease.
But when an old friend hires them to put on a show at a secluded campground, the girls find themselves being stalked by a homicidal maniac with a sick obsession with ice.
As they're hunted one-by-one, they soon realize they'll have to rely on more than just their looks to survive this nightmare named Moe.
